I am a Sinner
God beat Jesus
The Great Exchange
Noah Wasn't Righteous
Past, Present and FUTURE

Some Excerpts from his Sermons:

"Let me tell you this...You're a sinner, I'm as sinner, I'm no better than you are, we're all sinners. We sin with our words, our deeds and our motives. We have sins of omission, where we don't do good -- we have sins of commission, where we do do bad, we're all sinners."

"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth SPEAKETH!" (Lk. 6:45) Mark Driscoll, according to Scripture, is a 'Servant of Sin' and a 'child of the Devil!' (Jn. 8:34; Rom. 6:16; 1 Jn. 3:10) This is NOT to be confused with being a "Slave of Righteousness" and a "Child of God!" ("you shall know them by their Fruits!") Notice also, in the Bible, the Letters written to the Churches are addressed to the "Saints", NEVER Sinners! In fact, the Scripture WARNS:"Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." (Jas. 5:19-20) The idea of being Righteous AND a Sinner at once is a MYTH based on keeping the Old Man ALIVE! (Rom. 6:6; Gal. 5:24; Eph. 4:22-24) Take heed! "If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?"(1 Pet. 4:18 & Pro. 11:31) And again, “Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to save his life." (Ezk. 13:22) Observe also the Apostle John says, "If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not do the truth." (1 Jn. 1:6 & 3:6) Contrary to Reformed opinion, Paul was NOT teaching he was the 'Chief of Sinners' PRESENTLY in 1 Tim. 1:15! (read it in CONTEXT and it becomes obvious that he was referring to his "FORMER" life in Judaism! -- 1 Tim. 1:12-17) Proof of this is found in Romans 6:1-2, where the Apostle says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid!  Furthermore, Paul asked..."Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law." (Rom. 3:31) HOW can you uphold and 'establish' the Law by Faith, when you Violate it daily in thought, word and deed as Driscoll has suggested? Ridiculous...Paul even went so far as to tell Christians to "Not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts." (Rom. 6:12) Hence, 'indwelling Sin' is optional, NOT mandatory as Driscoll has argued. The Gospel Message is "for sin shall not have dominion over you," but according to Driscoll, unless it DOES, then your Not Saved! (Rom. 6:14) Don't get Tricked here by the Calvinism of Driscoll. Because he is Augustinian in Tradition, he is UNABLE to separate Temptation from Sin, and therefore does Not make a distinction between Concupiscence (natural desires) and submission to the lusts. (compare Jas. 1:14-15 w/ 1 Cor. 10:13) Let us NEVER forget that the Bible tells us that Jesus "was in all points tempted as we are, yet WITHOUT sin" which means, Temptation is NOT Sin apart from indulging the impulse. (Matt 4:4 & Heb. 4:15) Jesus said, "Go and Sin no More!" (Jn. 5:14 & 8:11) After Paul revealed a list of Sins that will Disqualify Believers from the Kingdom, he states, "and such WERE (NOT ARE!!!) some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Cor. 6:9-11) If your harboring Sin within, DO NOT BE DECEIVED, you're HARDENING you heart! (Heb. 3:12-15) "Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor. 15:34)

"If you confess your sins to Jesus and place your Faith in Him, and His death, burial and resurrection is credited to you, there is this great exchange. He takes your sin and God's angry wrath, and He gives you His righteousness and God's unending love -- that's the exchange...then through Jesus, God is not angry with you."

To 'confess your Sins to Jesus' and abandon them NOT is to 'Forsake your own Mercy' with God. (Jonah 1:8) "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." (Pro. 28:13) Notice, Driscoll preaches ONLY half of the Proverb! He leaves out the 'forsake' part WHY?...because his own theology explains Sin to be apart of human nature apart from Choice, therefore, it becomes IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to TURN from Sin Prior to being Reconciled to God, which means, they MUST be Saved in their Sins and  have their Vice Cloaked indefinetly! (Jer. 13:3; Isa. 55:7; Ezk. 18:21; 1 Pet. 2:16) Of course, understanding this explains then WHY he has to teach there is a 'Great [MORAL] Exchange' in Salvation. As he said, "He [Jesus] takes your sin [guilt] and God's angry wrath [on the Cross], and He gives you His righteousness [plus Obedience] and God's unending love [No more Condemnation, Eternally] -- that's the exchange".
By "Trusting' in this magnificent Transfer (which of course Only the 'Elect' can and will) God now pretends your His Son, even though, you remain Un-changed, Wicked and Wretched to the core. (remember we have heard Driscoll say before..."You're a sinner, I'm as sinner, I'm no better than you are, we're all sinners.") This is WHY Driscoll says, "through Jesus, God is not angry with you." Under this teaching, the KEY to maintaining your [Provisional] Salvation is NOT to do anything, but rather to Rest in the Finished work of Christ (active and passive Obedience) and again, 'Trust' is has been magically Imputed to you. (if you were to do anything, then you would PROVE that you don't Trust that Christ did it for you and consequently, fall from Grace) Many errors Lurk within this theology. One of the major ones is that this teaching cancels Christ EXAMPLE. (Lk. 9:23; Jn. 13:15; 1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; 1 Pet. 2:21; 1 Jn. 2:6) Another is it makes you a HEARER of the Word and Not a Doer of it!  Jesus asked, “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?" (Lk. 6:46-49) And He also Warned: "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall." (Matt. 7:24-27) This is ALSO explained by Paul AND James! (Rom. 2:13 & Jas. 1:22) The idea that Christ was/is the Believers "Substitute" or Representative is foundational in Reformed theology. It has effectively numbed the peoples consciences to Conviction BECAUSE attached to this "Good News" is that ALL your Sins (past, present and Future) are Covered by the Blood. (1 Tim. 4:1-2; 2 Pet. 2:1-3; Jude 3-4) Since everything is Positional and Nothing is practical, the Old man of Sin is NEVER Crucified with Christ! (Rom. 6:6 & Gal. 5:24) Therefore, people understand Grace to be 'Permission' to Wallow in the Mire and continually flock to teachers (like Driscoll) who tell them what their Flesh wants to hear! (Gen. 3:4; 2 Tim. 4:3-4) Don't get Duped by the LIES...Christ is "Separate from Sinners". (Heb. 7:26) Driscoll is Deceived and you are too if you Seriously think he is of God!

Additional Note:
As we have heard, Driscoll makes the Outrageous claim that Noah really wasn't Righteous? (Gen. 6:9 & Ezk. 14:20) It's important to understand that he is reading his Reformed theology into the Bible, instead of letting the Bible dictate his theology. Because he believes in the T U L I P (doctrines associated with John Calvin that actually Originated with Augustine in 4th Century Rome) he has to assume that Noah, like all of Adam's offspring, was BORN wicked and Sinful by nature. ("Federal Head Theory") Hence, Noah couldn't had been "Righteous" (in the MORAL sense) BECAUSE he was Incapable completing Virtue OVER vice Prior to or After finding "Grace is the eyes of the Lord." (Gen. 6:8) To prove this point, Driscoll takes us to Gen. 6:5 where it is Written: "Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Only because Driscoll's theology has to ADD Noah to this number in order to survive does he lump him in. You see, if Noah really WAS all the things the Bible says: " Noah walked with God, was a just man, perfect in his generations and did all that God commanded him", then the T of the T U L I P crumbles, which means, Driscoll's Entire systematic theology, WHICH IS FOUNDED ON THE "T" crashes. If you keep on reading in Genesis 6, you will eventually come across Verse 12 which states: "So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth." (this is NOT speaking about Birth! -- Gen. 8:21) Clearly, this interprets Genesis 6:5. If we don't approach these Scriptures in a biased manner or with a preconceived theology, then it's evident that joining Noah to this number is in Error since he is said, BY GOD, to have been a "JUST" and "Righteous" man! "Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it [referring to a land which Sins against God by persistent UN- Faithfulness], they would deliver only themselves BY their righteousness,” says the Lord GOD." (Ezk. 14: 14)"Noah was Saved, according to Peter BECAUSE Why? He was "a preacher of righteousness." (2 Pet. 2:5) The Faith Chapter of the Bible explains: "By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith." (Heb. 11:7) "Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. (1 Jn, 3:7 & Ezk 18) Driscoll is a Deceiver! YOU have been Warned.
