The Wrath of God

 
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, Rom1:18

Today the phony preachers in the fake churches have passed off the wrath (anger) of God by transferring it to Jesus. By cherry picking a few select passages of Scripture they have convinced the 'receive Jesus crowd that God's Wrath has been diverted to Christ and entirely extinguished forever more. God is no longer the fierce vengeful Sovereign of the Old Testament who Judged sin harshly and thundered His Commandments from the heavens. Now because He quenched all His vengeance and wrath on Christ, He's defanged (so to speak) and willing to overlook the ongoing sinfulness of man, because: For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Jh3:17 or at least that's how the story goes according to the Preachers.

Therefore the 'Christian God is portrayed to the world as 'all forgiving, all loving, granting unconditional pardon to all who will simply 'believe in His Son Jesus. (Jh3:16) There is no more condemnation for those 'in Christ, Rom8:1, their sins have been cast into the deepest sea, removed as far as the east is from the west and will not be remembered against them ever again. Micah7:19, Ps103:12, Isa43:25, Heb8:12. Of course this includes; 'Past, Present and Future sins, since this all took place while we were 'yet sinners, so 'all means all! Rom5:8. Consequently MOST of professed Christianity in the world today believe that Christ took God's Wrath in their place, was Punished for their sins, died and went to hell, so they could be granted unconditional pardon apart from anything they do or don't do except believe in / receive Jesus. Sin Past, Sin present, Sin future has no further bearing on their eternal well being, its signed, sealed and delivered in Christ who was brutally beaten, scourged, tortured and deprived of life on the Cross so they could have a free ride into the Kingdom without worrying about their ongoing lust, self-indulgence and treacherous hearts.

After all, God understood that no one is perfect and that His Laws were impossible to keep, but His own sense of Justice demanded someone be punished for the continued violation of His Commands. When that arrangement was carried out in His Son He could relinquish His awesome Wrath and become man's 'Sugar daddy' as was always intended before sin entered the scene. Now Sin is no longer the issue, only belief in Jesus, who paid the toll and carries out His role as advocate, constantly reminding His Dad that He took the Wrath due them so their sins are covered in the magnificent exchange! (their sin to Him, His Righteousness to them) Thus the average professed Christian under this mess, has no personal accountability for their actions, sins with impunity and turns their noses up to the world at large while constantly whining:  'No one is perfect, Judge not and its not of works!' Although they don't like to admit it, professed Christianity is the ONLY religion in the world that offers unconditional forgiveness and an open License to sin. Because no matter what their Ministers, Pastors and Pundits may say it all comes down to Jesus paying the debt and them cashing in on the benefits. So under this delusion they can extend their own version of unconditional forgiveness to all who wrong them, believing that it reflects the heart of God to 'forgive rapists, murderers, pedophiles, etc with no mention of them coming clean of their crimes in broken, contrite repentance.  

Sadly however they have MISSED the most fundamental truth of all, that: this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone doing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. Jh3:19-21

Wrath STILL applies to the 'Sons of disobedience and on those who OBEY Not the Gospel of Christ! Eph5:6, Col3:5, 2Thes1:8, the Condemnation is on those who love darkness rather than light because their DEEDS are evil. Wrath (punishment) for evil deeds cannot be diverted by proxy. The Bible says: 'He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoever confessed and FORSAKES them will have mercy!' Prov28:13. Those who think their sins are 'covered or concealed by what Christ did on the Cross, have beguiled themselves by false reasoning. Because the sentence against their evil works is not executed speedily, their hand is strengthened against the Judgments of God and they despise the riches of His goodness, just as Scripture says:
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, Rom4:4-5

Jesus said that God sends the rain and the sun to the Just and unjust, Matt5:45, He is no respecter of persons, Gal2:6, Rom2:11, His Providential blessings are not PROOF of His approval! His love is dispassionate, He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is Slow to anger, Ex20:6, but will by no means clear the guilty who refuses to repent! Ex34:6-7. Though your sins be as scarlet they shall be as white as wool, IF you are Willing and Obedient, Isa1:18-20. The Message of the Lord has not changed from the beginning, the severity of sin did not take a detour at the Cross, you can forgo His Wrath if you will do the following:

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Isa55:6-7

Yes, God is longsuffering and kind, willing to forgive all who come to Him in sincere repentance. But His Wrath abides on those Obey Not His Truth, John3:36, you cannot trample the Son of God underfoot and count His blood as a common thing that cannot take away sin, by thinking and acting as though Jesus has you covered in some magic transfer. Surely He will render to each according to their Deeds done in darkness or in the Light:

He will render to each one according to his deeds, eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. Rom2:6-11

Also you cannot separate the Sin form the sinner, as the professed whine: 'God hates the sin, but loves the sinner!'

What they do not understand is that LOVE (God's love, agape) Does Not rejoice in iniquity, but in Truth or when Truth and Justice prevail! 1Cor13:6. Scripture says that 'God is angry with the sinner (not sin) everyday' Ps7:11, It says the 'Eyes of the Lord are on the Righteous and His ears are open to their cry, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them form the earth' Ps34:15-16, the Wicked will not go unpunished, Prov11:21, God will punish every person that persists in evil deeds, Prov28:4, If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me, Ps66:18, and God will render to each one according to their Deeds!

SIN is not something separate from the person Committing the sin, that is utterly ridiculous! Another lame reason to excuse sin and be lenient on the sinner. Instead of demanding they produce Deeds Worthy of repentance, they are coddled and comforted, presumed forgiven in a perverse application of Grace that sooths the guilt and sears their conscience against any attempted reform. Accountability is not a consideration, pardon is extended as sympathy for the addictions brought on by the malady of sin. Every time another phony Christian moans how 'no one is perfect', when confronted about their wrong doings, God's Wrath is kindled against them as children of disobedience, who suppress (hold) the truth in unrighteousness and have exchanged it for a lie! The real question to these phonies is: 'If you could Stop sinning would you?' Of course they Can't Stop because they don't WANT to! People DO what they want to do! As long as they can find someone who will pamper them with more psychobabble; focus groups, seminars, professional counseling or just sit by and sympathize, nothing will change. And the collective perception of the evangelical sub-culture will remain centered on leniently instead of repentance proven by deeds.

God's Wrath has not been diverted, only deferred while He gives the people time to repent. Final Judgment is inevitable because it is appointed unto man once to die, so it is inescapable that each one will answer up for what they have done in the body. You can transfer your sins to Jesus here in some imaginary exchange that suits your fancy, but NOTHING is hidden from His eyes and ALL things (you have done) are naked to Him to whom we must (all) give account. Heb4:13. Your pansy preachers say God doesn't see your sin, He only sees Jesus! But God says:

'For every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgment, for by your words you will be justified and by your (own) words you will be condemned!' Mat12:36-37

Words can beguile the mind into a false sense of security, or they can speak Redemption to those who will hear.

John the Baptist warned the religious posers of his time:
 Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Lk3:7-9

Don't say you have a Magic Cover for your sins in Jesus' Blood, God has NOT spoken it! Bring forth FRUITS Worthy of Repentance so you're not standing naked at the Judgment and subject to the full force of His Wrath.

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. Rom11:22
