The Death of the Gospel!

to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’ Acts28:18

I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds. Acts26:20

When Young in the Faith, I would hear something that Didn’t sound quite right or just didn’t make sense. Like: Your sins are forgiven in advance, God Can’t see you sinning, Jesus suffered the Wrath of God for me. I was accounted Righteous although I still sin daily in thought, word and deed.

I didn’t Question these things Because the People saying them seemed Knowledgeable, having studied long, went to school, ect AND they Just MAY have a Proof Text that would Put me to Shame if I challenged them. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt, they may be Correct to some degree.

However, the more I learned in the Spirit the CLEARER Things became to me and NOW I can tell you CONFIDENTLY that almost EVERYTHING these teachers are saying is the EXACT Opposite of what the Bible Really Says! I found out:

The Bible NOWHERE says that the Righteousness of Christ is imputed to you by Faith

NOWHERE Does it say or imply by conjecture that FUTURE Sins are already forgiven.

Nor Does it say ANYTHING about God Not holding you Accountable for Continued sins.

MUCH of what They Teach as Gospel Today is Based on a Fallacy of False Doctrine,. supported by Implication and Conjecture. The So-called Proof Texts Contradict the Basic premise of Sound Doctrine.

The Doctrine of Jesus Christ MUST Produce Godliness and Self Control. The Purpose of the Commandment is, Love, PURITY and Sincerity! These things are not OPTIONAL or SEPARATE from Salvation itself. Faith and Works are tied intrinsically together in the Bible. Disconnecting these Vital Principles of Redemption has DESTROYED the effectiveness of the Gospel.

Modern Doctrine has the Pretense of honoring God, upholding His Sovereignty and exalting His Divinity, but in the Process of trying to Keep Him Preeminent in the Salvation experience, they have reduced the message to nothing more than a hallow shell of vain rhetoric based on assumption not fact.

Basically they  teach:

1)       God had to Punish (Beat) Jesus to appease His Wrath against sinful man

2)       Jesus Lived a Sinless, Perfect life, fulfilling all Righteousness so God can apply that to us

3)       Our Trusting in this arrangement Saves us Eternally

4)       God Now sees man Acceptable (through the Jesus Filter) although he continues in his sin

To Access this Scheme usually involves a simple Prayer of Confession that you are sinful and need a Savior. Through this you supposedly get the benefit of Jesus Death on the Cross to Cover your sins. His Example was lived out NOT for you to ‘Follow in His Steps’, but so God could TRANSFER His Track Record to you, making you fit for the Kingdom in your sinful state.

This has resulted in the Demise of Repentance. Where there is No Conviction of sin or godly sorrow for that sin, NO Clearing can take place in the heart. (2Cor7:12)  The Heart Cannot be made Pure by Faith! (Acts15:9, 1Pet1:22) No Obedience to the Truth will come about. The Old Man Remains alive, surviving to usurp his authority over the passions of the flesh that WERE NOT Crucified in Repentance! (Rom6:4-6) Therefore the Bondage to sin remains and NO Forgiveness can be Granted by God. (John8:34)

Sin has to be ‘Covered’ under their scheme of Redemption for TWO Reasons. First and foremost, because it has NOT been Washed or Purged OUT of the Conscience in the Process of Repentance. The Heart being defiled still MUST have some kind of assurance that Continuing in its Wickedness is protected against God’s Wrath. The ‘Covering’ provides that. Second, Confession is NOT Repentance!

Unless you DIE WITH Christ in Repentance (that is the purpose of it) you can NEVER be Born Again and you remain a SLAVE to the passions and Desires of your flesh. (Rom6:15-17) Under the false Plan of Redemption you came to Christ with the assumption that He took your place on the Cross and now God is going to EXCHANGE His Track Record with yours. If you merely ‘Confess’ that you are a helpless sinner in need of a Savior then you can enjoy all the benefits of HIS Righteousness as though it was your own. 

Thus the MAJOR Flaw that NO ONE is able to see in this System is that it Provides Absolutely NO means by which you can access Forgiveness of sins! That’s why they have the Old Man dying by PROCESS, Gradually, through a lifetime of sin and confession they claim is the Normal Christian experience. Whereas in Scripture the EXACT Opposite is Clearly Shown!

When the Scripture says that our ‘Old Man was Crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin!’ (Rom6:6) It is Speaking Precisely of Something that Happened in the PAST, NOT to be Repeated! Therefore IF you were ‘Buried with Him through Baptism unto death’ (Rom6:4) WHICH Baptism is this Speaking of if NOT the BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE!

(Getting Dunked in the water is NOT going to Crucify the old man or put him to death with Christ)

Thus THIS Baptism of Repentance is Vitally CONNECTED to God’s Plan of Redemption! WITHOUT it there is NO Forgiveness of sins! First because the Old man Cannot DIE with Christ unless this Process takes place. And Second because God CANNOT Forgive Sins you CONTINUE to Commit!

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Isa55:7

What Happened To Repentance? Has the Lord Changed His Mind about the sin and substituted  Grace to make up the Difference? Somehow several Generations of Preachers and teachers since the dawn of the Reformation, seem to THINK they have Discovered some Fundamental Truth hidden from the greater part of mankind that the Gospel Consists of FAITH ALONE in CHRIST ALONE and man Contributes NOTHING to the Outcome of his Salvation.

Rather than Returning to the Purity of the Apostolic Message preached by the Apostles and Prophets of God, (Which was a Clarion Call to Repentance and Faith! Acts20:21) they have Rendered the Gospel of Jesus Christ INEFFECTIVE to SAVE mankind from the Corrupting influence of sin. The end result of their ‘Reformed Doctrines’ has Devastated the morals of human society beyond ANYTHING anyone could possibly imagine. They Merchandise the souls of men like the thieves and robbers before them. Now like the Pharisees of old they shut up the Kingdom of heaven against men, neither entering in themselves or allowing anyone else to enter!

(ALL while Believing wholeheartedly they are WORKING for God and Doing His will!)

What is the Baptism of Repentance and WHY it is undeniably Connected with the Forgiveness of sins?

It Began with John the Baptist, who Christ Himself Called the ‘GREATEST’ of all Preachers.

He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.  Luke3:3

And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins Mark1:4

Preaching the Baptism of Repentance, According to the Scriptures:  

1)       Crisis of Conviction, godly sorrow for sin  (2Cor7:10-11) The Spirit Convicts the World of Sin, Righteousness and Judgment! NOT a Covering or Filter.

2)        Diligence and Zeal to CLEAR oneself of all wrong doing follows suit. The CHANGE of inclinations, desires and Conduct take place. The Sin STOPS!

3)       Godly Fear Motivates the Soul to Love and good deeds

4)       PURITY of Heart Results!

In this Process the Old Man DIED with Christ, nailed to the Cross, Buried with Him! The New Man is BORN! The Blood of the Covenant is applied to the Living Sacrifice. Sin is PURGED from the Conscience! The New and Living WAY into God’s Kingdom is OPENED to the Soul!

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Rom 6:4-6

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Rom12:1-2

in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Col1:14

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2Cor5:17

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.Col2:13-15

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,  by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, Heb10:19-20

The Ceasing of Sin Follows this Baptism of Repentance!

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 1Pet4:1-2

Sin is not merely Covered, but REMOVED! “In ALL things you PROVED yourself to be Clear (PURE) in this matter!” 2Cor7:11. No Bondage remains. The Heart is Set Free in Christ! (John8:32) You Partake of Christ’s Sacrifice on the Cross by SHARING in His Death, (Rom6:4-6) NOT having His Accomplishment Transferred to you. You are Forgiven by DYING with HIM to SIN, NOT HIM Dying in your place! (He died unjustly on the Cross, Crucified by man, Acts2:23, 5:30)) He became our ‘Sin Offering’ (2Cor5:21) (Not sin itself) So we could FOLLOW His Example into NEWNESS OF LIFE!

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 1Pet2:21

that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1Pet2:24

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Heb9:13-14

You Were Bought With a PRICE! (The Precious Blood Of Christ! 1Pet1:18-19) REDEEMED from the Dominion of sin by the BLOOD of the Lamb. Now you are Debtors to the Spirit, (Rom8:12) not the flesh. That’s why those who belong to Christ HAVE ALREADY (once for all, not to be repeated!) CRUCIFIED the flesh with its passions and desires! (Gal5:24) The Old man is Dead and buried with Christ, Resurrect him and you Crucify the Son of God Afresh! (Heb6:6) and put Him to open Shame! Falling therefore into Condemnation and spiritual death. (Heb10:26-31)

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.Rom8:13

The Purpose of Christ’s Death is to Provide a WAY to EXTERMINATE the Old Man of Sin, Put him to Death, once for all, Strip him of his advantage! (Col:2:15). This can ONLY Happen Through the BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE Shown in Scripture. The Growth Process is NOT sinning less and less, but the NEWBORN BABE in Christ Desiring the TRUE Milk of the Word that he may increase thereby. (1Pet2:2)  Securing the Outcome of his Salvation as gold refined in the fire! (1Pet1:7-9)

 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Phil3:10-11

Further Sanctification and or ‘Baptism of the Holy Spirit’ (if you prefer) DOES NOT come about to rescue you from the ravages of sin and immorality. THAT happened in REPENTANCE! The Sin STOPPED. Thus it is Shown in Scripture over and over again. (Zacchaeus, Matthew, Prodigal, Woman caught in adultery, even the thief on the cross)  God DID NOT Grant Forgiveness to man ‘in his sin’, HE DEMONSTRATED His Love Toward mankind by Sending Christ to Die while we were still sinners! (Rom5:8)  He is NOT ‘Passing Over’ our sins, but WASHING them away in ‘regeneration’ (New Birth in process of repentance!) and renewing of the Holy Spirit! (Titus3:4-7) The Soul is Scrubbed CLEAN of defilement, ignorance and lust! These are CAST OUT of DOORS with the Old man to DIE with Christ! THEN the Holy Spirit can take up His Abode in a Clean Temple, not a Divided heart.

But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. Ezk18:21

Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord GOD. “Therefore turn and live!”Ezk18:31-23

You Approach HIM in Repentance and Faith (Acts20:21) ACCORDING to the SCRIPTURES!!! NOT According to man’s opinions! The ‘Gift’ is HIM Reaching into our Wretched existence and OFFERING  His Kindness toward all things that Pertain to LIFE and GODLINESS! (2Pet1:3-4) We RECEIVE His FAVOR ‘Repenting and Believing’, Which includes FOLLOWING and OBEYING! Man Created with the ability to ‘believe’ from his heart, (Rom6:17)  MUST ‘Work Together’ with God for Grace to Take Effect. (2Cor6:1) Certainly it is God who Initiated Redemption and Forgives sins, But the Devils can ‘Believe!’ (James2:19) Therefore FAITH (real and genuine Saving Faith) MUST be PROVEN by DEEDS or it’s useless and dead. (Js2:22-24)
