The Spirit of Truth!

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1John4:1

Can the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error co-exist in the church and the individual heart? Can you play with fire and not be burned? Or how close to the edge can you stand and not fall in? The Early Church took this matter very seriously and the Apostles Constantly Warned everyone to beware of false doctrines and the trickery of false teachers.

The Apostle Paul’s famous farewell address to the Ephesians is a perfect example of their urgency. With deep heart felt conviction he warned them about the savage wolves who would come in and pervert the Truth leading many astray. And he told them that teachers would rise up from among themselves teaching perverse things, deceiving the brethren! He told them to Watch, take Heed, Do Not grown lax in your Walk with Christ or you would be easy prey for the wolves. (Acts20:26-31)

The language of this passage certainly indicates that this was a vital and Continual Part of his ministry, not a passing fancy. For ‘THREE YEARS, Night and Day With Tears’ he warned them, time and again! That Deception was everywhere and Satan was constantly at work to gain a foothold among them, through the mouths of false teachers and deceivers. To the Romans, who were much experienced in the rhetoric of their scholars, he warned them to beware of the smooth words and flattering speech that would introduce Pagan doctrine into Christian Teaching. (Rom16:17-18)

The Apostles Peter and Jude gave Detailed descriptions of the false teachers and WHAT they would be teaching! They would attack the Grace Message, Pervert it into a Doctrine of lawlessness. Promise people liberty in their sins, while they remained Slaves to their corruption! They would Walk according to their own lusts, with eyes full of adultery that cannot cease from sin. Loving the wages of unrighteousness and exploiting the church. Many would follow after them bringing reproach to the Way of Truth.
(2Pet2:1-3, 12-14, 18-22, Jude3-4, 16-19)

The Sainted Apostle John closed his earthy ministry with a Warning to the churches, given to him by Christ! FIVE out of the SEVEN Original Apostolic Churches, founded by the men who Wrote the New Testament, had ALREADY been lead away into the error of the wicked! The list of sins included: Complacency, tolerating false teachers, Adultery, dead works and absolute blindness. The Penalty was Disqualification from the Kingdom unless a Real Repentance was under taken immediately.

Throughout the New Testament the Words “Let No One Deceive you!” are repeated time and again to the people of God. The Warnings about many antichrists going out into the world are as Clear as day! The persistent possibility of Strong Delusion and even self deception was ever present. The Saints understood the nature of the warfare they were engaged in and what was at stake. There was no time to sit back and relax, plan for entertaining church activities and NEVER Refute the false teachers. Souls were hanging in the balance! Satan was on the Prowl. The battle was Pitched and intense!

How has anything changed today? WHEN was the last time you heard any of these warnings in your church? Does your Pastor act like a person engaged in Battle? Does he have the Urgency of a soldier under fire enduring the rigors of war? When was the last time you saw anyone Repent under his preaching? Fall under a crisis of conviction and godly sorrow for sin, cry out to God and seek to clean themselves of wrong doing? NEVER! The Gospel today is Confess and Receive, Not Repent and Obey. The Pastors are happy to assume they are leading everyone into Truth if they have gone through the motions of ‘Receiving’ Jesus somewhere along the line.

Genuine Repentance would open the Eyes of their Understanding to Truth! They would be ALIVE to the Spirit, not dead as logs, ignorant of God’s Word. Their hearts would be grieved at the horrible conditions of the church at large and the softness of the Message going out. The sin in their midst would be exposed by the Light inside them! The Lax and Lukewarm would either run and hide or repent themselves under the glare of conviction. Church would no longer fun and games or a nice little social even on Sunday mornings. It would become a Harvest of Souls, a harbinger for Truth! The Hypocrites would be running for cover, Not running the church! The forces of Darkness would launch a crusade against it. Every devil in hell would be mustered to impede its progress and defeat its effectiveness. The False teachers would come crawling out of the woodwork to denounce it and accuse the converts of having no love, being vindictive toward the ‘brethren’ and preaching a WORKS Salvation. The Messengers would be despised in his community and disowned by his colleagues. Like John the Baptist (and the sainted Prophets) they would DEMAND his head on a Platter, because he is exposing their sin.

You Doubt these things? WHAT happened in the Book of Acts, if Not EXACTLY what I have Described? Didn’t Jesus Himself WARN us to Beware when all men speak well of you? (Luke6:26) The Gospel is Not a Popularity contest! When you Demand Repentance PROVEN by Deeds and Faith Working by Love, the devils will squeal and souls will be Convicted. WHY do you think Satan has worked so diligently to Render this Message null and void as quickly as he could? It TURNED the World Upside down, that’s WHY! And it would have Continued to do so had it Remain Pure and undefiled from men’s Doctrines.

The Possibility of the Spirit of Truth and the sprit of error co-existing among the early converts was unheard of! ‘A little leaven leavens the Whole lump!’ Paul told the Corinthians, 1Cor5:6. Darkness and light cannot Mix, the Lord had said. “If the eye is good the Whole body is full of light! But if bad, the WHOLE body is full of darkness! Therefore if the Light in you is Darkness, HOW GREAT is that Darkness!” (Matt6:22-23) The Repentance they Preached was a Scrubbing, Cleaning and Casting out of doors all defilement, ignorance and sin, BEFORE the Holy Spirit could Dwell within.

How far removed is this from today where Repentance (if any at all) is merely a Confession of sinfulness and repeating some words. The Darkness is overwhelming! The spirit of error is in Control. There is no mixture of Light in among the darkness. The Holy Spirit was Promised to Lead you into ALL TRUTH, Not a Combination of Both! One Error inevitably necessitates another and another on top of that. The outcome always nullifies the effects of Repentance and faith. That’s the nature of false doctrine at its core, to draw the focus of Repentance and faith away from a Biblical foundation and place it at the mercy of man’s opinions. Thereby it’s rendered a ‘Come in your sins’ Message, Rather than ‘Come OUT of them!’

“I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people. Therefore Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you. I will be a father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty.” 2Cor6:16-18

What is the Danger of NOT coming Out from among them? Of Remaining in the Darkness of false doctrine and error? This Warning was given by the Prophet Samuel to Israel. To Disobey it meant becoming defiled with idols and heathen practices. There was no Middle ground here. You couldn’t go worship in the temple of Baal to show how tolerant you were of alterative religions! So WHAT makes you think it’s SAFE to remain in a church where you KNOW they are allowing people to be SAVED ‘in their sins’ and live a Divided life, calling themselves Christians?

Can the Spirit of Truth be Present among those who have embraced and then Preach False Doctrines? Remember: This ALWAYS Translates into a flawed understanding of the Salvation Message. There are no Exceptions. If for example you hold to the Doctrine of Original Sin, your Entire Concept of God, Grace and Salvation by faith is erroneous. By Necessity you believe that man was Born inheriting Adam’s sin and has therefore Lost his ability to DO anything good by free choice, unless prompted by the Grace of God. You cannot possibly demand that he repent or Stop sinning on Condition of coming to God, because it’s impossible for him to do so under your teaching. Any resemblance to a Faith WORKING by love that originated in an Obedient heart turning to God through that Repentance, is Out the Window! That would a ‘WORKS” Salvation, Taboo in Reformed theology.

An Entire System of Error has to then be created to support the FIRST error of original sin. They have to explain how God off sets man’s sinful condition by some kind of Grace He exerts over them. Just enough so they can choose to believe, but not enough so they can Stop any sin. That requires regeneration and subsequent sanctification. (and then the sin never really stops, just now you can desire God, where before you couldn’t) Since no one can really Perfectly Obey God, He requires only that you ‘Believe’ and Trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross and then this Grace will facilitate what is lacking in your walk. Therefore His example was NOT for you to emulate in taking up your Cross or counting any cost involved, but to offer Himself to God as the Perfect sacrifice for sin and allowing His Righteousness and Obedience to be transferred to you by faith!

Consequently by one Error the ENTIRE Gospel is rendered null and void. Not only is Repentance out the window, (the ONLY method by which a soul can come to God) But the whole Scheme of their Salvation is accomplished WITHOUT meeting any Conditions by faith, only Trusting that they have been met for you in advance by Jesus Himself. Redemption is impossible! It’s an entirely Different Gospel then what is revealed in the pages of Scripture. You Receive instead of Repent, Trust rather than Follow and Obey.

The Commands of Jesus become subsequent to the outcome of Salvation, nothing is mandatory. Man is saved by faith alone, not by what he Does with faith. (James2:24)

This System is at work in every level of the present day church and has been for longer than anyone is willing to admit. Paul called it the ‘Mystery of Iniquity’ in 2Thess2:7. He said it would increase in intensity as the Spirit of Truth diminished among the people, with a massive onslaught of lying signs and wonders. Couple that with the heaps of ear tickling teachers the people flock to hear and you have the perfect formula for the Strong Delusion that has almost everyone in its grasp.

The Great Difficulty is Discernment, Identifying the Truth from Error. Most professed Christians are at a Complete loss on this important issue, for Two Main Reasons:

1) They have Never Repented of their sins to begin with, so they are NOT really Saved!

2) The Wolves Teaching them Look Exactly like LAMBS!

Since the False teachers Always Mix Truth with Error (and always have) it Sounds like they Know what they are talking about. But the Great Swelling Words they use are empty of soul saving Faith! The people hearing them not only lack the Discernment to tell the difference, but are also Ignorant of Spiritual matters, because it REQUIRES the Spirit of Truth to GUIDE you into Truth. As we have shown, Truth and Error cannot Co-exit. Therefore if your pastor is ‘Saving’ them in their sins (and we have found no exceptions to this!) he has Most Definitely been taken captive by the spirit of error.

Whether he is aware of it or not, really makes little difference as far as the danger to your soul is concerned. Because the longer you sit under his teaching the more likely it will be that the Strong Delusion will ensnare you also. The Warnings of this VERY things are all through the Scriptures. The Lord Warned the Disciples on several occasions to BEWARE in What Manner they are Hearing someone! (Lk8:18) Deception starts in the Mind. Remember James Says you can Deceive your OWN SELF by being a hearer of the Word and not a Doer of it! (Js1:21)

Satan is Slick and Highly developed, his Wiles are sharply honed and tested over Centuries. Do you Really think that the Games your playing in your church, calling it Christianity are effectual against his Lies? He has the WHOLE System wrapped in his clutches of false doctrines and misleading wonders! He uses every means available to fashion the IMAGE so it will Look, Walk and Talk like the Real Jesus. Who do you think the false teachers are, the Cults, the Satan worshiping pagans, people running around in devil customs on Halloween? WAKE UP!!!

This is STRONG DELUSION, not the neighborhood haunted house. These False Teachers are the Smooth throated celebrities of the Church World! They look like your friendly neighborhood Good Samaritans. You would invite these men to your house for dinner, Trust them with your kids, confide in them your hurts and pains. They write the books, Control the airwaves, Sell their tapes, CD’s, study material. They run the Seminaries, define the Doctrines and expound the Scriptures. The Whole System revolves around their agenda. They invented the formulas and measure their Success against them.

Nothing is beyond their grasp, down to your Sunday School classes, Bible study groups, prayer meetings, revivals and all the activities the churches love to participate in for entertainment. The spirit of error is Present in every aspect of your church, without exception.

IF the Spirit of Truth was there instead, People would be CONVICTED of Sin, Righteousness and Judgment! (Jh16:8) There would be Genuine REPENTANCE taking place at EVERY meeting! The Reason it’s NOT Happening is Because the SPIRIT is NOT Present. That Warm and fuzzy feeling you get sometimes sitting in the Pews is merely your own emotions welling up in a euphoric moment over some sentimental thought crossing your mind. (the same things happens to most people watching a sad or happy movie or listening to their favorite music)

God (the Spirit of Truth!) Deals with the HEART! The evil within, the vile dispositions people harbor in their desires that makes them Selfish, mean spirited and hypocritical. “Let the Wicked Person FORSAKE his Ways and the Unrighteous his THOUGHTS and Return to the Lord!’ (Isa55:7) No Where in Scripture has anyone ever Come to the Lord in this touchy feely manner of ‘Receiving’ Christ and being pronounced Saved! They were CUT to the Heart, forced to their knees or on their face, crying out to God for Mercy, Making a FULL Departure from sin….the CLEARING…..Scripture calls it! (2Cor7:10-11) It is a Crisis of Conviction and a Season of Godly Sorrow that leads to Purity of heart.

WHY Do you SIT in these Churches where NONE of this is GOING ON!!!? Thinking you’re making a difference being there, while you are slowly dying inside and the spirit of error is clouding your mind.

Do you have to have a List of all the false teachers by Name and what they are teaching in detail before you will Wake up? This Lie is Highly developed. Even those who reject some of the False Doctrines are themselves taken captive in error. Without a Right Concept of Faith and Repentance you will be constantly lead astray as to the Nature of True Obedience, what it means toward final Salvation and how to recognize genuine godly sorrow that leads to real Redemption.

The Gospel According To Jesus:

1) Is 100% Conditional! (Matt7:13-14)

2) Obedience and Endurance are Necessary to the Outcome of Salvation. (Matt10:22, John3:36)

3) Requires Repentance Proven By Deeds and Faith Working by Love! (Acts26:20, Gal5:6)

4) Requires a ceasing from sin and Following of Christ’s example! (1Pet2:22-24, Lk9:23)

Therefore Biblical Faith is Obedience! A WORK of itself, with a Principle of Action Behind it. Saying that Obedience Follows faith renders the Action Optional. Thus you have the basic perception of faith among the pastors teaching you today. They fear that by attributing an Obedient heart to Faith as essential to final Salvation is preaching ‘Works’ and will cause self righteousness in the people. But in reality this is just an excuse to sin. DOING what is RIGHT is Righteousness, the Bible says! (1John3:7-8) SO BELIEVING in Jesus is OBEYING Him! (James1:21-22, 2:22-24, Rom4:19-22, 6:15-17, 1Pet1:22, Heb6:15) The Faith and the Action are Synonymous, you CANNOT Separate them or you Destroy the effect of the Gospel!

The Gospel in the Churches:

1) 100% Unconditional! You do Nothing but Receive

2) Obedience and endurance are Secondary to the outcome of Salvation

3) Repentance is confession of sinfulness and Faith is Trusting you are Saved

4) You Come in your sins and the sin Never Stops

Under this Scheme Obedience follows Faith, if you so choose to Obey. The Principle is TRUST, not Action, so Deeds will always be suspected as ‘Works’ and out of the question because of Eph2:8-9. Sin was never really Repented of so it becomes the foregone conclusion of in your walk. God will clean you up later as you allow Him to change your desires. Righteousness is applied through Imputation or a Covering and has Nothing to Do with your Deeds. Faith is John3:16 and is independent of Action.

If the Spirit of Truth was Present in your church people would be COMING OUT of Deception, NOT marching head long into it! They would be exposing the false teachers and warning others with Great Urgency to turn away from them. Confrontation would be common place, not feared as heresy! Those sinning would feel the Sting of conviction and an Atmosphere of Godly fear would grip their hearts.

The Churches are overrun with Complacency, immoral behavior and careless slipshod preaching. If you are even slightly awaken to this mess, you should GET OUT before its too late and you fall into the sleep of death and perish with them in Judgment.
